The object of this work is to develop and demonstrate a radiation hard pixel detector for a linear collider enviroment using on-pixel charge storage. The current effort is an outgrowth of a pixel upgrade effort for the Belle detector at the KEK B-Factory. The development team consists of Fermilab, Hawaii and groups from Europe and Japan. Over the course of the next three years in this project we hope to make substantial progress in various pertinent areas, such as, charge collection, fabrication process, overall pixel design, EMI issues and radiation tolerance. In addition, we concurrently explore various mechanical aspects of vertex detector designs.
