ILC Computing Resources at FNAL

Fermilab has two dedicated multicore 3GHz Linux machines whose primary users are the Fermilab ILC detector and accelerator simulation efforts.

These machines are designated for software development and short test runs. These machines also serve as portals to the ILC grid VO.

Fermilab's computing division runs a large pool of BlueArc Network Attached Storage (NAS). The ILC effort has been assigned 2 TB from this pool, and is in the process of acquiring 15 TB. This NAS is mounted as /ilc on the ilcsim machines and various personal workstations. /ilc is designated for long term storage of datasets.
